An accident on Benjamin Constant Street, in downtown Londrina, involving 15 vehicles, including a bus, was recorded this Thursday afternoon (1st). Three people were injured, including a child, who was immobilized inside the car.
A total of 11 cars, three motorcycles and a public transport bus were involved in the accident. According to information collected at the scene, the reason would be a problem with the bus brake, which was locking.
Firefighters attended to the boy, who was not identified, inside the car in which he was with his family. He remained immobilized and conscious during the treatment.
Benjamin Constant Street is close to the Central Terminal, and is known for the high traffic of cars. In the videos, recorded by a man who was at the scene, it is possible to see the damage that the accident caused to the vehicles.
One of the cars had the hood completely destroyed by the impact. The car the child was in had the back door completely dented. Firefighters had to force open the door so the woman in the passenger seat could get out.
So far, there are no more reports of injuries, including on the public transport bus.
