He was identified as Moisés Rosa Melo, 21, the boy found dead in a wooded area near the Campo Grande dump on August 15. With stints for theft, he would have been violently tortured before he died.
According to delegate Rauali Kind Mascarenhas, from the 5th Civil Police Precinct, the marks of diesel oil identified on the boy would have been ‘painted’ on his face, hands and feet. The boy had gunshot wounds to his leg, also burns all over his body.
Also according to the delegate, the marks of violence support the version that Moses would have been tortured before dying. Furthermore, it is investigated whether the suspects’ intention was to murder the boy or to seek revenge.
This, because Moses was pointed out as the author of several thefts. What the police have identified so far is that the boy was kept in a closed place, where he underwent the torture session. Afterwards, it was spawned in the forested area, which is far from the first location.
The torture session allegedly took place on the afternoon of the 14th and the body left in the woods between the 14th and 15th. Two suspects in the crime have already been identified.
