Hayabusaas is known Peregrine Falcon (Falco peregrinus) in Japan, it is considered the fastest living being, reaching speeds of 320 km/h. In 1999, the Suzuki presented its super sports car, naming it with the same name as one of the most spectacular and admired birds in the animal world: the GSX-1300R Hayabusa.

Equipped with a powerful 1,298 cc 4-cylinder in-line engine, the Japanese brand’s motorcycle delivered 175 hp from 9,500 rpm and easily exceeded 300 km/h maximum speed. Gross torque of 13.5 kgfm was available at 7,000 rpm. With these specifications, it didn’t take long for it to be recognized as the fastest production motorcycle in the world.

In 2008, with the introduction of the second generation, the “missile on two wheels” received a 1,340 cc propellant, an increase of 42 cc. As a result, both power and torque increased: 197 hp (an increase of 22 hp) at 9,500 rpm and 14.2 kgfm (0.7 kgfm more) delivered at 7,600 rpm.

Rival to models like Kawasaki’s Ninja-ZX14, the Hayabusa is among the 10 “fastest motorcycles in the universe”reaching the mark of 312 km/h, according to specialized publications.
