One drunk driver caused an accident traffic and caused a real commotion on Friday afternoon (2) in the Industrial City of Curitiba (CIC).

According to witnesses, the man was driving at high speed and, upon reaching a curve, he lost control of the steering wheel and hit a woman’s vehicle.

The man got out of the car very aggressively and even hit his own son, a four-month-old baby who was in a car seat. He still fell with the child on his lap and injured his son, tried to escape and was stopped by the residents, who were outraged by the situation.

The driver of the car that was hit by the drunk driver who held the baby until the rescuers arrived – even the fire department and Military Police team.

When taking a breathalyzer test, the person responsible for the accident was found to have 0.58 milligrams of alcohol per liter of air, almost double what is considered a crime in Brazil.

The man was arrested red-handed for drunk driving and must also respond for resistance, disobedience and bodily harm against his son.

He already had police records and, according to officers from the PM traffic team, he did not have a driver’s license to drive the car.

The baby was taken to the hospital and, luckily, only had minor injuries and is out of risk.
