A drop in exports, lower consumer purchasing power and weakened domestic demand did the chicken and pork prices fall in January 2024, as shown by a survey by the Center for Advanced Studies in Applied Economics (Cepea) on the campus of the University of São Paulo (USP) in Piracicaba (SP).

Compared to December last year, chicken prices registered drops of up to R$2.6%. – -
