José Inocêncio (Humberto Carrão) is what can be called a predestined man in Renascer. Alone in the world and without possessions, his strength lies in the desire he carries to become someone in life. And this happens from the moment he arrives in the interior of Ilhéus, in the south of Bahia and begins an immediate connection with that land.
From the amazement with the jequitibá-rei and the encounter with the tree known as the giant of the forest comes the iconic moment in which José Inocêncio plants the machete and takes his oath:“As long as my machete is stuck at your feet, neither you nor I will die… neither from a killed death… nor from a dead death!” thus establishing the pact that will accompany him throughout his entire career in one of the most emblematic scenes of Renascer and Brazilian television drama.
ANA CECILIA COSTA PLAYS MORENA IN THE SECOND PHASE OF RENAISSANCE
Deocletian’s (Adanilo Reis/Jackson Antunes) wife, Morena (Uiliana Lima/Ana Cecilia Costa) worked at Jacutinga’s (Juliana Paes) house. She lives in harmony with her husband and is like a second mother to João Pedro (Juan Paiva).
Morena is the one who cares for and breastfeeds José Inocêncio’s (Humberto Carrão/Marcos Palmeira) youngest son after the death of Maria Santa (Duda Santos), as a result of a miracle granted by her own boss. Always attentive and sharp-tongued, she carries with her the pain of having lost her only child to a miscarriage.
