A man was found dead on Wednesday night (31), with signs of violence on his body. The case was registered on BR-364, on a road that connects Diamantino to the municipality of Alto Paraguai.
According to the police report, the corpse had two puncture wounds, one in the abdomen and the other in the head. The victim’s eyes were also gouged out, possibly by animals.
Military Police were called by members of the public, who passed by the location and saw the victim’s body on the banks of MT-240.
When the police arrived at the scene they saw the man, who was in an advanced state of putrefaction, with no vital signs. The boy was wearing shorts and no t-shirt.
Two 9mm caliber cases were found around him and money and documents were in the pocket of his shorts.
The scene was isolated for the work of Official Forensics and Technical Identification (Politec). Preliminarily, two puncture wounds were found on the victim’s body. It was also observed and the body was missing its eyes. As the boy had been in the region for more than 12 hours, it is believed that animals attacked the corpse.
Civil Police investigate the case.
