Positivo Vision Tab 10 debuts with keyboard cover and low price

Positivo announced this Wednesday (31) the launch of the Positivo Vision Tab 10, the brand’s new basic tablet for Brazil. As indicated in the debut statement, the new product follows in the footsteps of the VAIO TL10 — VAIO is now represented by Positivo in Brazil — by promising to offer a good everyday use experience in a low-priced package, which stands out for bringing a keyboard cover optional.

The device arrives equipped with an unknown processor, described only as “octa-core”. Following the published specifications, it is possible that it is the Unisoc T606, a very simple component present in basic cell phones such as the Nokia G22 and the Motorola Moto E13. Accompanied by 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage, the platform should be sufficient for everyday tasks, but don’t expect to run heavy games or perform more demanding actions.

The screen also fulfills its role by using a 10.1-inch IPS LCD panel, with HD+ resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels and a refresh rate of 60 Hz. There are two interesting aspects here: the 16:10 aspect ratio, which provides more vertical space for horizontal use, and laminated manufacturing, which eliminates the air between the glass and the panel to ensure better viewing, an aspect not always guaranteed in this price range. Stereo sound completes the multimedia experience.

Cameras are not the strong point of tablets, and the Vision Tab 10 doesn’t change that trend. There is only a 13 MP rear lens, and a 5 MP front sensor optimized for horizontal use — the duo should be enough to provide good quality when scanning documents, carrying out research using images and during video calls. The theme of business use surrounds the device, which also has a dedicated keyboard cover.

The battery is not impressive on paper, with a capacity of 6,000 mAh and 10 W charging via the adapter included in the box. That said, given the basic specifications, it is likely that the device will deliver good autonomy, although we will need to wait for reviews to be sure.

Furthermore, 4G connectivity, Wi-Fi 5 Dual Band, Bluetooth 5.0, USB-C port for recharging and data transfer, storage expansion via MicroSD cards of up to 1 TB and Android 13 operating system are present. Unfortunately, being a model low cost, there is no promise of upgrade.

“There is a great market demand for good-performing tablets and we want to democratize access to these products. The Positivo Vision Tab 10 has specifications and features that increase user productivity and entertainment in any situation. […] The company already has notebooks from the Vision line and is now expanding this line of products to tablets with a focus on efficiency, productivity and mobility, characteristics increasingly sought after by consumers.” — Cristiano Carvalho de Freitas, director of Mobility Business at Positivo Tecnologia.

Price and availability

The Positivo Vision Tab 10 is now on sale on the brand’s official website, with a suggested price of R$1,099. There is a version that includes the keyboard cover, sold for R$1,299, and it is also possible to purchase the accessory separately for R$499.
