Start Prices of regular diesel and S-10 fall by more than 1% in January compared to December, shows IPTL
This behavior tends to change from February 1st, due to the new ICMS rates coming into effect.
The average price of a liter of regular diesel closed January at R$5.97, a reduction of 1.16% compared to December. The S-10 was sold at R$6.10, after a drop of 1.45% on the same comparison basis.
The data comes from the Edenred Ticket Log Price Index (IPTL), a survey that consolidates the price behavior of transactions at 21 thousand gas stations.
This behavior tends to change from February 1st, due to the start of the new ICMS rates, which should result in an increase in the price passed on to drivers, according to Douglas Pina, general director of Mobility at Edenred Brasil.
