After the initial period of the month, traditionally marked by increased movement in the retail market, there was little appreciation in business among pig farmers during live pig negotiations, not reaching the level of R$100.00 as the maximum price.

According to information from Suisite, on the first closing day of the second fortnight, the average daily price was R$99.45. However, pig farmers faced significant declines, absorbing a reduction of 1.8% compared to the same day the previous month and 6.8% compared to the same day the previous year.

Throughout November to date, the average price received reached R$98.43, representing a drop of 0.9% compared to the same period last month and 9.6% compared to the same period last year.

Year-to-date, the average price reached R$100.70, showing an increase of 3.4% compared to the same period of the previous year, but a drop of 3.7% compared to the same period last year. However, considering that the average daily price remains below the values practiced in previous years, it is likely that the indexes collected in the year to date will continue to decline until the end of this period.
