Fourth person involved in the murder of singer Sara Mariano could be arrested at any time

Another man was involved in the crime that took the life of gospel singer Sara Mariano, found dead on October 27, in a forested area on the banks of BA-093, in the municipality of Dias D’Ávila, Metropolitan Region of Salvador. Information obtained by BNews shows that the Bahia Civil Police had come up with the name of a fourth suspect involved in the case.

The main person accused of participating in the crime is Ederlan Mariano, the singer’s husband, who was transferred to the Mata Escura Penitentiary Complex on November 1st. The other two suspects, including Bishop Zadoque, a friend of the couple, and the app transport driver, Gideão Liminha, were captured this Wednesday (15). The Civil Police of Bahia had concluded that a fourth man had participated in the crime after statements taken at the police station with the pair.

Also according to information obtained by the report, Zadoque and Gideão must remain in custody at the 25th Territorial Police Station (DT) of Dias D’Ávila, which is investigating the case, until the fourth person involved in the singer’s murder is also found. After the arrest of the fourth suspect, everyone involved must be taken to prison.

Remember the case

Gospel singer Sara Mariano was last seen alive on the night of October 24, when she left the house where she lived with her husband and daughter to supposedly go to a religious event. Without the woman returning, Ederlan Mariano, the artist’s husband, registered a report of the victim’s disappearance.

Three days later, on October 27, Sara Mariano’s body was found partially charred, in a forested area, on the banks of BA-093, in Dias D’Ávila. On that occasion, Ederlan even recognized Sara’s body for the Civil Police.

Ederlan was arrested on the night of October 27th, after allegedly confessing to the crime. The man remained in custody at the 25th Territorial Police Station (DT) of Dias D’Ávilla until he was transferred to the Mata Escura Penitentiary Complex, in Salvador, on November 1st.
