Man survives “crime court” after pretending to be dead; colleague is found submerged in MT river | VGN

A man, still unidentified, survived the “crime court”, after pretending to be dead, in the early hours of this Wednesday (15/11), in an accommodation located in the municipality of Campo Novo do Parecis (389 km from Cuiabá).

According to the Civil Police, the man was found with many injuries by military police officers in a garbage dump. He reported that he lives in accommodation with six other employees, and late on Tuesday night (14), eight hooded and armed men allegedly invaded the place.

According to the victim, the criminals took all the accommodation’s employees hostage, with the victims being tortured, threatened, tied up and placed inside the trunk of two vehicles, a white Onix and a red pickup truck.

He told the police that his colleagues were taken to the Rio do Sangue Bridge, where they would be killed and thrown into the river. The victim reported that he survived only because he pretended to be dead and after the criminals left, he walked five kilometers until he reached the garbage dump, where he asked for help.

During investigations at the reported location, police officers found traces of blood and a body submerged in water. The Civil Police team was called to take the appropriate measures.

When the military police returned to the city, they found a pickup truck with the characteristics of the one mentioned by the victim on the side of the road, with two suspects inside. One of them tried to escape on a motorcycle, but was approached by the police and taken to the Campo Novo do Parecis police station to provide clarification.

The investigations to investigate the facts are still ongoing and there are still no further details to be provided about the suspects and victims.
