The Beast is a reimagining of Beauty and the Beast
In 2011, The Beast modernized the traditional French folktale Beauty and the Beast, which has been filmed several times. Consequently, The Beast is set in the present day. The main character is Kyle Kingson (Alex Pettyfer), he has everything a teenager could want. He is rich, popular and extremely handsome. But after he embarrasses a new classmate (Mary-Kate Olsen), she reveals herself to be a witch.
She turns him into a monster. If, within two years, he finds a girl who loves him only for himself and despite his ugliness, he will be redeemed. His choice falls on Lindy (Vanessa Hudgens).
