An employee working on the duplication works on Avenida Transnordestina and construction of a viaduct, which is in front of the Oyama Pinto da Silva Sports Complex in Feira de Santana, was injured this Wednesday morning (15).

According to information gathered by the Acorda Cidade report, the employee, whose name was not disclosed, had lost control of the tractor as it was climbing the elevated road, when it went uncontrolled down the side and tipped over.

Owner of a workshop in front of the viaduct, Antônio Gonçalves Lima reported that at the time, many employees ran to help their colleague, who was left under the wreckage.

“When he went over the limit up there, he fell down here, because he had the steamroller on the edge, and then when I saw it, he was already coming down. At that moment, people started running, it was agony, the man got stuck in the hardware underneath the machine and it appears he had two fractures in his leg. Samu came to help and immediately took him to the hospital,” he said.

According to Antônio, the accident happened around 10:30 am this Wednesday and left all traffic blocked.

The Acorda Cidade report tried to talk to those responsible for the work, but no employee recorded an interview.

There is still no information about the employee’s health status.

It was necessary to have a tow truck and a munck truck to remove the tractor from the road.
