Campo Grande suffers from an accelerating cost of living. After a start of the year with lower inflation, from September onwards the story changed, prices soared.
In October, the IPCA (Extended National Consumer Price Index) in Campo Grande maintained its upward trend for the third consecutive month, registering an increase of 0.28%. The capital of Mato Grosso do Sul accumulates 3.83% in the year and 4.50% in the last 12 months.
Of the nine groups of products and services surveyed, six showed price increases in October. Health and personal care (0.65%) and clothing (1.50%) were the largest contributors, adding 0.08% and 0.07% percentage points, respectively. On the other hand, communication (-0.15%), housing (-0.12%) and transport (-0.11%) recorded drops.
