Heat wave in Lafaiete, Congonhas and Ouro Branco continues until Saturday, the 18th

Minas Gerais is facing the third heat wave of the year and one of the most intense in history. And in our region it is no different. On Tuesday, the 14th, the thermometers reached 36/37 degrees, and there was even a red alert for intense heat.

According to Clima Tempo, the intense heat is expected to continue in Lafaiete, Congonhas and Ouro Branco, until Saturday the 18th, with a sudden drop in temperature on Sunday. Check the forecast:

Care

According to a document from the National Center for Risk and Disaster Management (Cenad) and the Brazilian Civil Defense, in the case of extreme heat, you must:

• Avoid exposure to the sun, especially during hotter times;
• Drink water frequently;
• Wear light clothes;
• Consume light foods, such as fruits and vegetables.
• Hot flashes are even more harmful for children, the elderly, and people with chronic conditions that require daily medication.
