Young people investigated for death of trader in August are arrested

Two young people, aged 24 and 21, were arrested on Monday morning (13) in Santa Maria, in the Santa Marta neighborhood. The arrest occurred during the execution of search and seizure warrants in connection with the investigation into the death of Fábio Cristiano Tossi Antunes, aged 47. Antunes was murdered on August 5th on Rua São Francisco, in Bairro Rosário.

The searches carried out resulted in the seizure of two pistols, including one modified to fire bursts of shots, as well as ammunition, cell phones, money and drugs. These seized items are considered key pieces for the investigation.

After arrest, the duo was taken to the Emergency Police Station (DPPA) and then to the Santa Maria State Penitentiary (Pesm). The operation was coordinated by delegate Marcelo Arigony, head of the Homicide and Personal Protection Police Station (DPHPP) of Santa Maria.
