Holiday begins with murder in Ipatinga

A man was killed with pistol shots in the early hours of the Proclamation of the Republic holiday in Ipatinga and a teenager, involved in drug trafficking, was arrested as a suspect. The crime was recorded around 4:30 am this Wednesday (15), on Rua Vinte e Um, in the Planalto neighborhood.
The Military Police were called with information that gunshots had occurred and that a person had been injured by gunshots.
Arriving at the indicated location, police officers found Wallace Jesus, 37 years old, lying on the balcony of a residence.
SAMU was called, but upon arriving at the scene there was nothing left to do. It was found that the victim had no vital signs.
Civil Police experts collected, at the crime scene, nine deflated cartridges of 9 mm caliber ammunition.
Anonymous calls indicate that a 15-year-old teenager had an altercation with the victim over a drug deal.
Almost a month without homicides
Ipatinga had a record of homicides since October 21st, when a 19-year-old young man was murdered in a square in the Canaãzinho neighborhood. With this homicide in the Planalto neighborhood, the municipality now has 27 murders. In the same period last year, 21 homicides were recorded.
