President Lula (PT), came out in defense of the Minister of Justice, Flávio Dino, this Wednesday (15), in response to the production of fake news claiming that he had met with a representative of the criminal faction Comando Vermelho (CV). For Lula, Dino, who is one of the ministers closest to her, is being the target of “artificially planted attacks”.
“My solidarity with the minister @FlavioDino, which has been the target of absurd artificially planted attacks. He has already said and reiterated that he has never met the wife of a criminal faction leader. There isn’t a single photo, but they’ve been insisting on the absurd lie for several days,” said the president, who added:
“The Ministry of Justice has coordinated actions of enormous importance for the country: the defense of democracy; the fight against savage armaments; combating organized crime, drug trafficking and militias; and the protection of the Amazon. These actions awaken many opponents, who are not satisfied with the loss of money and space for their criminal activities. This is where fake news comes from, disseminated in a clear coordinated action. We reiterate: there will be no retreat in the face of criminals and their allies, wherever they are, whoever they are.”
The demonstration by the President of the Republic comes hours after Dino announced a lawsuit against São Paulo councilor Fernando Holiday (PL), in response to the production of fake news claiming that he had met with a representative of the criminal faction Comando Vermelho (CV).
An ally and enthusiast of Jair Bolsonaro, Fernando Holiday is a staunch opponent of Flávio Dino. After the publication of the Estadão article reporting, last Monday (13), the presence of the wife of one of the leaders of Comando Vermelho, Luciana Barbosa Farias, in two delegations that met with secretaries of the department, the minister was asked about the topic and stated that he had never received her in his office or had any contact with her.
