
A 67-year-old woman, identified as Maria Vanelli, died this Wednesday morning (15) after a traffic accident in Brusque, in Vale do Itajaí. The collision involving two motorcycles happened around 6am, on Rua do Cedro, in the Dom Joaquim neighborhood.

According to the Military Fire Department, the 67-year-old motorcyclist was riding a Honda Biz when she ended up crashing into a Honda CG Fan motorcycle, with Rio do Sul license plate, driven by a man who was also injured.
The rider of the other motorcycle was treated by Samu (Mobile Emergency Care Service) and was also hospitalized. The site of the fatal accident was preserved to await the arrival of the Scientific Police, in addition to the Civil Police, who were also present.

Deadly accident generated commotion
Maria’s family and friends left tributes to the accident victim. Through social media, a family member who cited the death as a result of the motorcycle accident described the victim as a hard-working person.
“You were a warrior, hard-working woman, you worked hard (…) and you always won,” he said. According to the Brusque Funeral Center, Maria’s wake and burial will take place at the Parque da Saudade Cemetery, in the center of Brusque.
However, the time for the farewell ceremonies was not confirmed, as the body was awaiting release from the IML (Legal Medical Institute) late this Wednesday morning (15).
