A video is circulating on social media showing the Minister of Justice, Flávio Dino, taking a photo next to a woman. Subtitles claim that she is the wife of drug dealer Tio Patinhas, head of Comando Vermelho. IS FAKE.
One of the captions says: “It’s enough confession to fire Dino for supporting drug trafficking when he states that he is a fan and knows the Amazon drug lady, with whom he had meetings.”
The video does not show Flávio Dino talking and taking photos with Luciane Barbosa, married to a Comando Vermelho chief. The woman who appears next to the minister is actually the comedian Ví Alvares. She published a video on YouTube about the meeting and another, filmed from the audience, of an event with Dino in July 2023. After the false message circulated, in November, she made a new post denying the hoax.
She says in the publication: “How far has Bolsonarism come? That’s the point, look. Look at what they’re associating me with. But they’re going to have to prove it. They’re even going to have to prove that I’m from Amazonas. I’m in the hospital’s ICU from Rio Grande do Norte with my daughter hospitalized and the Bolsonarists doing this here. Do you see the evil? Now they’re going to have to prove everything you’re saying. You’re messing with a mother of a family you don’t even know. I’m simply in that video with Flavio Dino. Simply because I don’t believe that Flávio Dino could meet a northeastern woman without fear of being happy, who defends Lula at all costs, they are associating me with organized crime. Let’s see what happens. Wait for letters.”
Flávio Dino also published a denial on his social networks. “Today’s lie, continuing yesterday’s scoundrel, is that this lady in the video is a criminal with whom I would have met, which is absolutely false, as I have been saying since yesterday. These criminals invent these slanders to bring together people of the same species , in order to do evil. See the denial of the actress and comedian, who receives my personal solidarity.”
The false message began to be shared after the press revealed that the wife of a head of the Comando Vermelho in Amazonas arrested in 2022 made two visits to the Ministry of Justice in 2023.
Luciane Barbosa Farias is the wife of Tio Patinhas, arrested in December 2022. He had already been detained in 2018, when he was already considered one of the most wanted criminals in Amazonas, but was released by a judge from the State Court of Justice.
The National Secretary of Legislative Affairs of the Ministry of Justice, Elias Vaz, received a request from lawyer Janira Rocha, former state deputy of Rio de Janeiro for the PSOL to receive a delegation of women, and Luciane was among them.
Behind the scenes, advisors to the Minister of Justice, Flávio Dino, considered the episode a mistake by Vaz, who “should have checked” the list of participants.
