Murder at the End of the World: Star+ launches Sherlock for generation Z with Alice Braga

Star+ launched a long-awaited new detective series. Murder at the End of the World stars Emma Corrin, from The Crown, and stars Alice Braga.

The production follows a new generation of detectives, an amateur detective with experience in technology called Darby Hart (Emma Corrin).

Darby and eight other guests have been invited to a retreat in a remote location by reclusive billionaire Andy (Clive Owen). Everything changes when a guest is found dead.

The Gen Z detective must then use all of her skills to prove that this was, in fact, a murder. And she must do it before time runs out and the killer strikes again.

With the clock ticking against Darby, she will have to fight the pressure of conflicting interests to solve this mystery and stop yet another murder. But who can Darby trust? And how far will the killer go to stop Darby?

The creators of Murder at World’s End are Brit Marling and Zal Batmanglij, who have a long-standing creative partnership that spans more than a decade.

The duo is renowned for their collaboration on Netflix’s sci-fi mystery drama series The OA.

Emma Corrin takes center stage in the Star+ series. Known for her captivating portrayal of young Diana in season 4 of The Crown, as well as performances in My Policeman and Lady Chatterley’s Lover, Corrin shines in this mystery and suspense series.

Joining Corrin is Harris Dickinson, who recently appeared in the Oscar-nominated Triangle. Another addition is iconic BAFTA-winning actor Clive Owen, who played President Bill Clinton in the third season of American Crime Story.

Other cast members include Alice Braga (The Suicide Squad) and series co-creator Brit Marling.

The rest of the cast includes Joan Chen, Raúl Esparza, Jermaine Fowler, Ryan J. Haddad, Pegah Ferydoni, Javed Khan, Louis Cancelmi, Edoardo Ballerini, Britian Seibert, Christopher Gurr, Kellan Tetlow, Daniel Olson and Neal Huff.

Murder at the End of the World is available on Star+.
