Singer Shania Twain’s team suffered a traffic accident on Wednesday (8/11) during the “Shania Twain – Queen of Me” tour through Canada, the artist’s homeland. According to information from Page Six, the musicians’ bus collided with a truck, overturned on the road and left 13 people injured.
“A team bus and a truck were involved in an accident between Winnipeg and Saskatoon,” said one of Shania Twain’s managers in a press release. The 58-year-old singer was not in the vehicle involved in the accident.
Apparently, the accident occurred due to the snow-slippery road in the region. The victims were taken to nearby hospitals, but the condition of those involved in the rollover has not yet been reported.
“Members of the production team who required medical attention were taken to nearby hospitals. We are extremely grateful to the emergency services professionals for their quick care and support at this time. We ask for your patience as we care for our family on tour,” said Shania’s publicist Twain.
Shania Twain has a show scheduled for this Thursday (9/11) in Saskatoon, Canada. It is unclear whether the performance will be postponed or cancelled.
