Accident between car and truck leaves one dead on BR-277

An accident between a truck and a pickup truck blocked the BR-277 towards Curitiba, in Campo Largo, in the Metropolitan Region of Curitiba (RMC). According to the Federal Highway Police (PRF), one person died.

The accident, which was a transverse collision, involved a Fiat Toro and the truck. The collision occurred on the 125th kilometer stretch of the highway, at the end of the São Luiz do Purunã mountain range.

Due to the severity of the accident, the Military Police (PM) aircraft was called. The flow of vehicles was completely blocked for assistance. Around 4 p.m., the stream began to flow along the shoulder.

According to rescuers from the Air Operations Military Police Battalion (BPMOA), in addition to the fatal victim, another seriously injured person was rescued and taken to Hospital do Trabalhador (HT), in Curitiba.
