Friday’s match could mark Cristian Roldan’s 300th appearance with the Sounders across all competitions. He would become the third player in club history in the MLS era to achieve such a feat, behind Osvaldo Alonso and Stefan Frei.
Playoff matches at Lumen Field are just different. Not only is the energy in the building electric, but historically, the Sounders have gone on incredible runs on their home turf. The club’s 2016 and 2019 MLS Cup-winning seasons featured unforgettable victories at Lumen Field. And with St. Louis CITY SC out of playoff contention, the Sounders have the opportunity to host both the Western Conference Semifinals and Final if they were to win Friday night and continue progressing.
Along with the fun that’ll make up the match itself, there will be a variety of activities provided for fans to enjoy. This includes but not limited to, Soccer Skee-ball, the Crossbar Challenge — Presented by Western Washington Toyota Dealer, and a FIFA Gaming Station. There will also be a variety of food options to choose from through concessions and BIPOC and diverse-owned food trucks and pop-up restaurants, presented by First & Goal Inc. and Levy.
