A Globe fired at least 20 journalists from its newspapers and magazines on Monday (2). The biggest cuts were made at Valor Econômico, O Globo and Extra in newsrooms in São Paulo, Brasília and Rio, in addition to CBN radio.
Among those dismissed, Carlos Andreazza. The radio presenter in Rio de Janeiro was responsible for great success among listeners for almost three years. On Twitter, the journalist stated that the time he spent there was beautiful.

Berenice Seara, from Extra, also lost his job. She was part of the casting call for the media outlet 35 years ago. Before her column in the popular newspaper, the professional was a special reporter for O Globo.
Still on the list of those dismissed, reporter Ivo Ribeiro, from Valor Econômico; the sub-editor of Nacional de O Globo, Ludmilla de Lima; the Brazil editor, Carla Rocha, and two other photographers.
Fenaj (National Federation of Journalists) and the Journalists’ Unions in the three capitals demanded the annulment of all dismissals. “It is necessary for the company to open immediate negotiations with the entities and guarantee that new cuts will not occur in the coming days”they considered.
In the same statement, the organizations cited the cuts made by Plim Plim earlier this year. Between April 3 and 6, at least 40 professionals were sent to Human Resources to sign the contractual termination.
At that moment, journalists from G1, GloboNews and open TV and affiliates were dismissed. Examples include: César Galvão and Giuliana Morrone.
