Man is shot dead in front of his family in Bahia; victim was shot inside a car | Bahia

A 42-year-old man was shot dead while inside a car this Wednesday (8), at the entrance to Caboto, in Candeias, a city in the Salvador Metropolitan Region. According to the Civil Police, Luís Fabiano dos Santos Ribeiro did not survive his injuries and died at the scene.

According to witnesses, the victim’s woman and son were in the vehicle when the suspects approached in another car, asking them both to get out and for only Luís Fabiano to stay in the vehicle. The perpetrators then fired shots with a firearm. There is no information whether the victim’s family members were injured.

The Civil Police confirm that they received initial information that the crime occurred in a car and in front of the victim’s family, but have not yet detailed the degree of kinship between them.

The Military Police were also called and were at the scene, but the security teams already found Luís Fabiano without vital signs. Given the scenario, they called the Technical Police Department (DPT) to carry out the investigation and remove the body.

The authorship and motivation of the crime are being investigated by the 20th police station in Candeias.
