247 – Federal deputy Guilherme Boulos (PSOL-SP) highlighted this Sunday (5) the importance of the theme of the writing of the National High School Examination (Enem) – “Challenges for tackling the invisibility of care work carried out by women in Brazil” .
“Today’s Enem essay brings up a fundamental theme: the invisibility of the care work carried out by women in Brazil. It is urgent to invest in public policies that contribute to the emancipation of women from this unfair burden. Furthermore: we need to combat the machismo that naturalizes situations like this”, wrote the parliamentarian on the social network X, formerly Twitter.
With more than 3.9 million registered, Enem 2023 was applied across the country this and next Sunday, November 5th and 12th. This year’s edition only had printed tests, consisting of 180 objective questions and an essay. The test questions will be colored, for the first time in history.
The Enem score gives access to places in public and private higher education through programs such as the Unified Selection System (Sisu), the University for All Program (ProUni) and the Student Financing Fund (Fies).
The individual exam results can also be used in the selection processes of Portuguese educational institutions. More than 50 universities, polytechnic institutes and higher schools have an agreement with Inep that guarantees easy access to grades for Brazilian students interested in undergraduate courses in Portugal.
