Car falls into river and driver dies after accident in Blumenau: ‘great memories’


A 58-year-old man, identified as Hadi Ineichen, died in the early hours of this Sunday (5) following a traffic accident in Blumenau, in the Itajaí Valley. It was around 2 am when rescuers were called to go to the scene of the accident, in the Vila Itoupava district, in the Itoupava Rega region.

According to firefighters, the car driven by the 58-year-old man fell into a stream on the banks of Artur Hertel Street. The vehicle was overturned and partially submerged when crews arrived.

The Municipal Traffic Guard also went to the scene to signal the road while rescuers worked to remove the car from the water. As the car was locked, it was not possible to determine if anyone was in the vehicle.

With the winch of two fire engines, it was possible to dismantle the vehicle and reach the body of the driver, who was already without vital signs inside the car. The Scientific Police were called and sent the body to the IML (Legal Medical Institute), which was then released to the family.

Accident victim will be buried in Blumenau

On social media, family and friends of Hadi Ineichen left messages of condolence and tributes to the accident victim. “Rest in peace, you will have great memories and memories, (…) may God comfort you in this difficult time”, commented a family friend.

According to Funerária São Jorge, after the wake and farewell ceremonies, Hadi’s body will be buried this Monday (5), at 10 am, at the Itoupava Alta Cemetery, on the banks of SC-108, in the Itoupava Central neighborhood. , in Blumenau.
