Selena Raquel Alonso Stagliana failed to take the Enem (National High School Exam) this Sunday (5) due to lack of assistance from a transcriptionist at Uniderp, the place where she would take the first stage of the assessment. The 17-year-old teenager is the victim of a serious traffic accident on BR-497, in Paranaíba, where she lost her grandparents.

The family says that the request on the MEC (Ministry of Education) website was initially approved, and they even paid a fee of R$100 for the service. “It’s very sad, I prepared all year”, laments the student. “It wasn’t democratic, she is hardworking and has always been very studious”, adds her mother Jaline Selena Alonso.
Selena had her arm bandaged after suffering fractures, consequences of the accident in which she killed her grandparents Samuel Garcia Alonso and his wife, Zenir Nestolo Garcia, aged 76 and 70, respectively, on August 26th. The granddaughter was hospitalized in a serious condition, underwent several surgeries, but was still recovering and dreamed of taking the exam to study medicine.
Disappointed, the alternative is to take the exam in December, with candidates who went to the test site, but were harmed by some measure.
