Aluisio suffered an accident, on Thursday (2), in the São Rafael neighborhood. According to the Fire Department, together with witnesses, he was flying with a hang glider with an engine and fell ‘on his nose’ into the sea. His friend and pilot Anderson Azevedo saw the moment of the crash. The suspicion is that the pilot had a sudden illness (see the story below).
The Fire Department began searching at sea on the same day as the accident. A FAB team was searching with the SC-105 Amazonas aircraft, this Sunday, when they saw the body floating approximately 7 km from Monte Pascoal Island and activated the Marine Fire Brigade (GBMar).
The region’s Fire Department was called to reconnoitre and confirmed the identity of Aluísio Paes de Barros Filho. Upon arriving at the scene, firefighters rescued the body and found that there was a wallet with Aluisio’s identification in his pants pocket. The family was called to identify the body.
The Brazilian Air Force (FAB) searched for Aluisio using two aircraft. From then on, GBMar began to occupy the role of ‘auxiliary force’, providing support from the sea.
According to the FAB, in the searches, a helicopter model ‘H-36 Caracal’, from the 3rd Squadron of the 8th Aviation Group, and an ‘SC-105 Amazonas aircraft’, from the 2nd Squadron of the 10th Aviation Group, were used in the searches. .
O g1 found that, around 10 am last Thursday (2), shortly before the accident, Aluisio published a photo of a hang glider on Facebook with the caption “Play on Holiday”. In the post, he added the song “Anjos”, by the band O Rappa.
The excerpt of the song used in the post is, precisely, the chorus. “Somewhere, to relax. I’m going to ask the angels to sing for me. For those who have faith, life never ends.”
According to the Maritime Fire Department, the case happened around 10:55 am on Thursday (2). Images released by the Fire Department show two speedboats on Bertioga beach (SP), during the beginning of the search for Aluisio Paes de Barros Filho (see below).

Friend Anderson believes that his friend lost control because was feeling sick. “I saw the entire accident, before taking off he was with us. It was typical of someone who had a bad time. The wing stops flying, descends due to the lack of speed and, as it was high, it [asa] recover the flight. When it regained flight, the aircraft turned to the right and entered the water.”
According to him, Aluísio had a lot of experience in different types of aerial sports. “It is undeniable, he is a very professional driver”, emphasized Anderson.
