Accident happened on Saturday afternoon
A serious accident involving a car and a motorcycle happened during the late afternoon of this Saturday, 4th. The accident happened on Rua Pedro Zimmermann, in the Itoupava Central neighborhood, in Blumenau, and the Fire Department was called.
According to preliminary information, due to the accident, the motorcyclist, a 32-year-old man, died at the scene. The driver of the car had to be taken to the hospital. There is no information identifying the two men.
According to firefighters, the man, who was driving a Yamaha Lander, was found with polytrauma and in cardiorespiratory arrest. He already had no vital signs when rescuers arrived.
The driver of the car, a 65-year-old Cronos, suffered an injury to the face. After the collision with the motorcycle, he crashed into the wall of a restaurant and invaded the interior of the establishment. Two teenagers, aged 11 and 12, were in the vehicle, but were not injured.
The State Highway Police attended the scene to prepare an accident report, as did the Scientific Police, which collected the motorcyclist’s body.
