Aluísio Paes de Barros Filhothe hang glider pilot who disappeared after falling into the sea in Bertioga, on the coast of São Paulo, had presented a different behavior on the day of the accident. The information comes from the pilot and friend of the victim, Anderson Azevedo, who witnessed the aircraft crash. He told the g1this Friday (3), that Aluísio had more than 25 years of experience with aerial sports.
“Before the flight, I felt he wasn’t doing so well. I noticed something different about him. But he wasn’t one to comment on anything. It flew and what happened”, he recalled.
The case occurred in the São Rafael neighborhood, this Thursday (2). According to the Maritime Fire Department and witnesses, Aluísio fell into the sea with his hang glider with a ‘nozzle’ engine.
Anderson believes that his friend lost control because was feeling sick. “I saw the entire accident, before taking off he was with us. It was typical of someone who had a bad time. The wing stops flying, descends due to the lack of speed and, as it was high, it [asa] recover the flight. When it regained flight, the aircraft turned to the right and entered the water.”
According to him, Aluísio had a lot of experience in different types of aerial sports. “It is undeniable, he is a very professional driver”, emphasized Anderson.
The man said he has known Aluísio for approximately six years. He said that the pilot has a hangar with experimental aircraft in Bertioga. “He was in charge of our track”, reported Anderson, stating that he was always with his friend.
O g1 found that, around 10 am last Thursday (2), shortly before the accident, Aluisio posted a photo of a hang glider on Facebook with the caption “Play on Holiday”. In the post, he added the song “Anjos”, by the band O Rappa.
The excerpt of the song used in the post is, precisely, the chorus. “Somewhere, to relax. I’m going to ask the angels to sing for me. For those who have faith, life never ends.”
According to the Maritime Fire Department, the accident happened at around 10:55 am this Thursday (2). An Águia 11 helicopter was called to assist in the search. In addition, a boat and five divers also went to the scene of the incident.
