Security cameras recorded the moment a motorcyclist ran over and killed a 7-year-old boy, in Sinop (500 km from Cuiabá), on Thursday (02). The criminal was lynched by members of the public.

In the images, it is possible to see the moment when the child runs across the street and is hit by the motorcycle that skids on the road and stops a few meters away. The vehicle also hits some signs from a fruit and vegetable stand. The motorcyclist gets up and heads towards the vehicle, but is stopped by a member of the public.

The boy died at the scene.

After being run over, the criminal was lynched and detained by members of the public. Upon the arrival of the police, the motorcyclist was taken to an Emergency Care Unit (UPA), as he had been injured during the fall. The breathalyzer test was carried out in the medical unit and showed 29MG/.

According to the police, the driver, who did not have a driver’s license and was drunk, was carrying out dangerous maneuvers and was competing in a race, popularly called ‘racha’, at the time of the crash.

The case is being investigated.
