Young man is beaten and takes revenge by shooting two people in Contagem – Jornal Estado de Minas

A 20-year-old man took revenge by shooting a rival couple who had attacked him days before to the point where he was admitted to hospital because of his injuries. The crime occurred on Thursday night (02/11), in Contagem, Greater BH.

According to the police, the three involved had disagreements linked to drug trafficking and even participated in the same criminal organization in the Bairro Inconfidentes region, an area crossed by BR-381.

Even when he was admitted to the hospital, the young man stated in his statement that he had been threatened with death again by the two murdered men, aged 28 and 33, on Wednesday (01/11).

Upon learning that the two enemies were drinking in the 24-hour bar at a gas station in the neighborhood, he armed himself with a .40 caliber pistol and, using a stolen Fiat Siena car driven by an as-yet-unidentified accomplice, went out to look for the attackers, who were found. drinking beer inside a Chevrolet Astra at the gas station and in front of the bar.

The young man got out of the car shooting and hit his older opponent, Geraldo Magela de Souza Júnior, with six gunshots, killing the man instantly.

The shooter fired eight shots at his younger rival, Lucas Batista da Silva and fled at high speed in the car. The 28-year-old man was treated by Samu and taken to the emergency room at the Contagem Municipal Hospital, but he did not resist and died.

Consulting information from the intelligence service of the 39th Military Police Battalion, the police crossed data on possible perpetrators and discovered that a man monitored by an electronic ankle bracelet was at the post at the same time and then moved at high speed from there to the Ring Road.

With the information in hand, the police tracked the 20-year-old suspect, using data from the electronic ankle bracelet he has due to a court order. It was located in the Vista do Sol neighborhood, in the Northeast Region of Belo Horizonte. Near the house where he was staying, the stolen vehicle, ammunition and a broken electronic ankle bracelet were found inside the trunk.

The murder weapon was not found and the suspect claimed to have acted in self-defense, having been attacked and then threatened with death by the victims. He also said that he exchanged gunfire with the victims, but no weapon was found with the dead. He was detained at the Civil Police station on duty.
