The Kombi is back in Brazil. This week, Volkswagen confirmed the arrival of the ID.Buzz – the new electric Kombi – to the Brazilian market. In a batch of just 70 units, the VW ID.Buzz will only be available through the Sign & Drive subscription service, with prices starting at R$12,990 per month.
All VW ID.Buzz units in Brazil will be the Pro version, in the metallic colors Starlight Blue and the traditional “skirt and blouse” Candy White and Pomelo Yellow. Made on the MEB electric modular platform, the ID.Buzz features a design inspired by the first generation of the original Kombi and was a success in Europe.
At the front, the interconnected headlights are LED with IQ.Light technology. On the side, the ID.Buzz has a large glass area – including a window in the “A” column – and sliding side doors. The rear view mirrors have integrated turn signal lights. The wheels are 20”. At the back, the lights are also LED and interconnected.
Inside, the electric Kombi is finished with recycled and ecological materials. Standard items include intelligent communication assistant, dual-zone digital air conditioning, 3.5″ digital panel, 12″ multimedia center, induction cell phone charger, rain sensor, windshield with sound insulation and lighting environment.

Completing the list are electric seats with massage function, 360° camera, as well as semi-autonomous driving and parking systems. Items that the old Kombi made in Brazil until 2023 never dreamed of having.
Another big difference compared to the original model is the engine. In place of the 80 hp 1.4 flex that equipped the latest Kombi, there is an electric motor with 204 hp and 310 Nm. The similarity is that both are on the rear axle. The ID.Buzz also has a 77 kWh battery with a range of up to 420 km (WLTP cycle) and a quick recharge of 80% in just 30 minutes.
Another aspect that changed completely compared to the original Kombi was safety. Rated 5 stars (maximum score) by EuroNCAP, the ID.Buzz has autonomous emergency braking with pedestrian and cyclist detection, lane change assistant, 7 airbags, ACC with stop-go function and other equipment.
Like the ID.4 electric SUV, the VW ID.Buzz will only be available by subscription in Brazil. The service can now be purchased online via the VW Sign&Drive website or through the dealer network that has joined the brand’s project. Prices start at R$12,990, with deductibles of up to 3,100 km per month and duration between 1 and 4 years.
The contract also includes maintenance, insurance, documentation, delivery logistics, 24-hour assistance, fines management and tracking services. Additionally, customers will be able to choose to rent or buy a 7.4kW wall box charger.
