
A 29-year-old man was shot dead after being chased by armed criminals this Thursday afternoon (2), in the Santa Helena neighborhood in Governador Valadares.
The victim, Luan de Freitas Fernandes, was approached by the shooters when leaving home. Then the criminals began shooting at the boy, who tried to flee, but was caught and killed on a staircase, a few meters from his residence.
House gates and water meters were hit during the shooting. Several capsules were collected by the Civil Police.
According to the Military Police, the motivation for the crime is unknown, but the victim had previous records of drug trafficking and homicide. Furthermore, Luan was on parole.
So far none of the criminals have been identified. Luan’s body was sent to the city’s IML.
