Rio – Diones Coelho, the driver who ran over actor Kayky Brito, used social media this Wednesday to comment that he received a call from Bruno de Luca. The presenter was company with the artist, at a kiosk on Barra da Tijuca beach, moments before the accident, and was charged with failure to provide assistance.
“Bruno de Luca reached out to me on Instagram asking for my number. And in that call he thanked me a lot for the support I provided to his friend. I was just an instrument and acted as a citizen”, began the driver, who confirmed that he was in the speed limit on the day of the episode and even came to help the artist.
Afterwards, Diones said that he wanted to know how Bruno had been feeling after everything that happened and, according to him, the presenter replied that “he was afraid to leave”.
“He told me that he was feeling really bad psychologically, afraid of going out, afraid of people, with all the hate distilled on the internet”, he explained.
Finally, the driver demonstrated that he was open to providing his support to Bruno and even offered to accompany the presenter to a church.
Kayky’s recovery process
“Thank you, my family, father, mother, brother, to my brother-in-law. Business is living, because living is a miracle. Right side a little affected, but I’m here talking, I’m walking, everything is fine. Business is living” , he said, who has been receiving support from physiotherapists.
