Neymar undergoes knee surgery; attacker and father speak out

This Thursday (2), the attacker Neymarof Al Hilalunderwent surgery on his left knee to repair the injuries sustained to the anterior cruciate ligament and meniscus.

The procedure was carried out in Belo Horizonte by Dr. Rodrigo Lasmardoctor at Brazilian Team It’s from Atlético-MG.

On his social networks, the athlete posted a photo of himself with his two children and a message of trust.

“Everything will be fine,” he wrote.

Also in Instagramthe attacker’s father also spoke out and posted a biblical excerpt (Psalm 91).

“A thousand may fall at your side; 10 thousand, at your right, but nothing will reach you. You will simply look, and see the punishment of the wicked”, he wrote.

This is not the first time that Neymar will undergo surgery with Rodrigo Lasmar.

In 2018, on the eve of the World Cup in Russia, the star had to have his foot operated on due to a fracture.

Earlier this year, in March, the player also underwent a surgical procedure, this time due to a ligament injury to his ankle. The team doctor was present on both occasions.

Since moving to Arab football, Neymar has played just five times, scoring one goal and providing five assists.

Before tearing his knee ligaments, the midfielder had already missed matches for Al-Hilal due to muscle problems.

The club, which paid around R$470 million for the player, is expected to be without him for around 10 months, the expected recovery time for this type of injury.
