To military police, the 25-year-old boy stated that he was in the office, with his mother and sister, when the robbery took place. He said that, after the robbery, he took his pickup truck and began chasing the criminals, in order to identify them and recover the stolen goods, until at the intersection near the Associação Atlética Banco do Brasil (AABB) he hit the motorcycle and its occupants. .
According to the Civil Police, investigations into the case will identify whether the pickup truck driver acted in a way that was essential to the return of stolen goods or whether he exceeded in an intentional or negligent manner.
