A man was found dead on a cliff on BR-282, in Rancho Queimado, this Wednesday (1st). According to firefighters, the accident occurred around 3am, but access to the vehicle and the victim’s body could only be done 12 hours later, at 3pm, due to difficult access.

The man was driving a yellow buggy. The dynamics of the accident were not reported. The vehicle was lying approximately 50 meters from the road.
Military firefighters had to use rescue materials at height to access the site. The driver was reportedly ejected from the buggy, and was found five meters from the vehicle, already dead.
To be able to retrieve the body, it was necessary to take another route, with a lower slope. With support from teams from Santo Amaro da Imperatriz and Rancho Queimado, the victim’s body was removed. The identification was not released.
