Camaro involved in accident that killed bodybuilder and friend had 28 fines registered | Roraima

The information was released by the portal “Roraima em Tempo” and confirmed by g1 this Wednesday (1st). The fines — all paid — refer to traffic violations committed between the period of June 2017 to October 2023.

Traffic violations were reported by Detran and the Municipal Department of Urban Security and Traffic. g1 contacted the two transit agencies to find out the amounts of the fines, but the Secretariat did not comment until the last update of the article.

The Department informed that as it is private data, the request will be forwarded to the legal sector “to be analyzed by the Attorney General of the State of Roraima, in compliance with the General Personal Data Protection Law No. 13709/18”.

In September 2018 and September 2020, fines were recorded for drunk driving. The young man was also fined for the infraction in the accident that killed his two friends. This traffic infraction is considered very serious and the fine amounts to more than R$ 2 thousandin addition to being provided for in the Penal Code.

The vast majority of fines are for speeding and for advance the red lightinfractions considered serious by the Brazilian Traffic Code.

The driver’s preventive arrest was ordered a day later, on Sunday (29). In the decision, the judge on duty Renato Albuquerque also changed the criminal classification and Fernando Takao now faces charges of intentional homicide – when the risk of killing is assumed.

When suggesting the change, the MP argued that Fernando Takao was “drunk and speeding”. To the Military Police, shortly after the accident, he admitted to having been drinking and that he was traveling at 100 km/h when he hit the victims’ car – at the police station, he said he was traveling at “a maximum of 120 km/h”.

The accident occurred in the early hours of last Saturday (28) at the intersection of Rua Presidente Juscelino Kubitscheck and Avenida Ville Roy, in the Canarinho neighborhood, East zone.

The victims Ariane and Layse were on Rua Presidente Juscelino Kubitscheck when they entered Avenida Ville Roy and were hit before crossing the road. They were stuck to the hardware. Ariane was a mother and left behind a 1-year-old baby.

A witness reported to the PM that, after the collision, the driver of the Camaro got out of the vehicle with a bottle of alcohol and threw it nearby. Images circulating on social media show him lying on the floor, crying and repeating that he “didn’t see them”. Along with Takao was a young man, 27 years old.

The two suffered minor injuries and were taken to the Dr. Francisco Elesbão State Emergency Room, attached to the Roraima General Hospital (HGR). Afterwards, Takao was arrested and taken to the Civil Police Flagrant Center.

When he was heard by military police officers at the health unit, Takao was crying, “had an ethyl odor, red eyes, did not remember the facts and, at several moments, it was not possible to understand what he was saying”.
