PIS/Pasep 2023 issues ALERT for those who have not yet received the benefit
This year, the salary bonus was granted to all workers who had formal jobs in 2021. Payment began in February and was completed in July.
To be eligible for PIS/Pasep 2023, it is also necessary to have earned a monthly salary of less than two minimum wages and to have worked for at least 30 days during the base year.
In addition, you must be registered with the PIS/Pasep Participation Fund or the National Register of Social Information (CNIS) for at least five years.
It is important to highlight that PIS is aimed at workers in the private sector, governed by the CLT (Consolidation of Labor Laws), and is administered by Caixa Econômica Federal.
Pasep is aimed at public servants and employees of public and mixed economy companies, and is managed by Banco do Brasil.
The PIS/Pasep bonus is a benefit paid annually, with a maximum value equivalent to the minimum wage in force on the date of payment.
This year, those who received until May were entitled to a maximum of R$1,302, while those who received from May onwards were paid based on the new minimum wage value (R$1,320).
The maximum amount is granted to workers who were employed during the 12 months of 2021; whoever worked less time receives a proportional amount.
PIS/Pasep 2023 withdrawals can be made until December 28th at the agencies responsible for payment or through digital platforms.
After the deadline has expired, it will be necessary to request withdrawal of the amounts from the competent entity. The salary bonus amounts remain available for redemption for up to five years.
