The singer Milton Nascimentoaged 81, communicated to death of his nephew, Daniel, this Wednesday (1st). The artist did not give details about the family member’s age or the cause of death. Through social media, he published two photos in which he appears hugging his nephew as a child.
In the caption of the publication, Bituca lamented Daniel’s early departure and expressed solidarity with the family. “With great sadness, today I say goodbye to my beloved nephew Daniel. An early departure, which will leave a huge void in all of us”, lamented Milton. “All my love to my beloved sister Jaceline, Gilberto and Júlia”, added the singer.
In the comments on the photos, Milton’s friends and fans wished him strength in this delicate moment. “My sincere condolences”, commented Astrid Fontenelle. “I’m so sorry,” wrote actress Virginia Cavendish. “My feelings,” said Cristiana Oliveira.
Farewell to the stage
A year ago, the singer ended his farewell tour, called “The Last Music Session”, at the Mineirão stadium, in Belo Horizonte, after 60 years of career. The show had an audience of 55 thousand people and was broadcast live via Globoplay.
An icon of Brazilian Popular Music (MPB), he brings together hits such as ‘Maria, Maria’, ‘Travessia’, ‘Quem Sabe Isso Quer Dizer Amor’, ‘Coração de Estudante’, among others.
Born in Rio de Janeiro, in 1942, and raised in Minas Gerais, the artist has a solid history of more than 400 recorded musical works.
