Since its return this May to Rede Globo’s programming, the Direct lineone of the programs true crime most famous on Brazilian television, has been regaining its notoriety, presenting several shocking cases, such as the Eloá case, the barbarism of Queimadas and the Henry Borel case.
Taking into account the seriousness of the cases and the program’s objective of collaborating with investigations, viewers are anxiously awaiting to know which will be the next cases addressed by Linha Direta.
This Thursday (25), the program intends to address the case of nude coup, a virtual crime involving extortion, which made the region of Novo Hamburgo a national reference. The criminal action, which began in the south of the country, also claimed victims in other Brazilian states. Watch the call:
The case in question presents the so-called “catfishing”, where victims are deceived through adulterated photos, videos and audios, by criminals posing as other people. Criminals take advantage of all the information and files they receive to extort victims.
A couple of gauchos criminals are pointed out as the main bosses of the scheme. The 35-year-old man was already imprisoned in a Charqueadas prison, but the 25-year-old woman was not located. In addition, more involved in the crime were also detained in other locations.
