Report on the cause of death of actor Jeff Machado is inconclusive; body will be brought by car to SC

The autopsy report of Jeff Machado, 44, indicated that the actor’s death occurred more than 15 days ago, but did not conclude what would have caused it, due to the advanced state of decomposition in which the body was found.

The hypotheses for the cause of death are that there was suffocation, strangulation or confinement.

Analysis by the Scientific Police confirmed that Jeff’s body was found with a telephone cord wrapped around his neck, in addition to his hands being tied behind his back.

The actor’s remains were found last Monday (22) inside a trunk, buried two meters deep, in a rented house in Rio de Janeiro. The tenant would be a friend of Jeff’s.

To ND+, lawyer Jairo Magalhães, who represents Jeff Machado’s family, reported that the inconclusion of the actor’s cause of death should not hinder a possible murder charge in the future.

“This issue is fully defined even by the state and form in which the body was found. And also with that piece of wire around her neck. Although the cause of death was not clearly stated, there was this situation of strangulation”.

Actor’s transfer will be done by car

Due to the advanced state of decomposition, Jeff’s body will be transported by car from Rio de Janeiro to Araranguá, in the south of Santa Catarina, the city where the actor was born and will be veiled.

According to the lawyer, the body is expected to leave Rio early this Friday (26th) and arrive in Santa Catarina on Saturday (27th). There is still no definition on the time of the wake.

Passionate about arts and animals, he studied journalism, cinema, worked as a model, press agent, producer and acted in the soap opera Reis, on Record TV. He played a Philistine soldier.

Jeff’s dream was to be cast in a major TV role. According to mother Maria das Dores Machado, her son was studying to improve his skills. “He was taking several courses to get a lead role,” he told ND+.
