Rio – Last Tuesday (23), Rodrigo Faro said that he cleans the huge swimming pool at his mansion, in Alphaville. In an interview for the ‘PodPah’ podcast, he said he decided to do the work on his own to save money.

The pool was built to simulate a private ‘beach’. It has 500,000 liters of water, sand, and a small island with palm trees in the center. Even with the size of the construction, the presenter claims that he is the one who cleans the pool: “I’m the one who comes in with a ‘little net’ to clean it once a week. It’s a hell of a job.”
Faro also explained that, due to the sandy bottom, it is not possible to use aquatic vacuum cleaners to keep the water clean. Therefore, someone needs to dive to collect the impurities, but he found the service too expensive. “It’s a cleaning operation, R$400 for a diver with a snorkel and an oxygen pump. I said: I’m not going to pay R$400, I’ll do it myself”, he said.
The actor ended by saying that this kind of luxury was one of the things he always dreamed of achieving when he was starting out on television. “I remember when I had no money for anything, I had to sleep in a motel”, he revealed.
