Man arrested after assaulting and threatening to kill him on a farm on the sidelines of 050

Uberaba Municipal Civil Guard (GCM), in a joint police operation with the Military Police, arrested a man for allegedly assaulting and threatening his wife (domestic violence) and seized a firearm, machete and knives, on the sidelines of BR-050, kilometer 152, rural area of ​​Uberaba, yesterday morning. The accused and the seized objects were forwarded to the police authority on duty at the 1st DRPC/5th DPC.

A GCM team was carrying out preventive patrols along Avenida Tonico dos Santos, in Parque das Américas, when it was called by a desperate woman, asking for help, as her sister was under threat of death from her husband.

The municipal civil guards urgently went to the address, located on the sidelines of the BR-050 highway, in the rural area of ​​Uberaba, and came across a Military Police garrison, which had also been called. As it is a rural area involving a victim in prison under death and firearm threats, the GCM and Military Police teams planned the actions that would be adopted in the case.

The teams carried out the steps, succeeded in approaching the suspect and welcomed the victim. She reported that her husband was threatening her with a machete and that he had hidden it under the wardrobe. The woman also reported where the firearm was.

In view of the information, the municipal civil guards carried out a sweep at the location pointed out by the victim and were able to locate a 44 caliber firearm (shotgun/carbine), as well as finding several 38 caliber ammunition, in addition to cold weapons, three knives and two machetes.

The man was arrested red-handed for assaulting and threatening his wife with death, crimes provided for in the Maria da Penha Law, and for illegally possessing a firearm and ammunition. He was taken to the Civil Police.
