The State Government’s Viver Melhor Program has renovated 600 residents of the AE housing unit, in Jardim Veloso, in partnership with the Osasco City Hall. Improvements include the renovation of bathrooms, electrical installation, plumbing, sewage connection, ventilation, among other services, without course for families.
Created in 2021, during the pandemic, the Viver Melhor Program is carried out by CDHU and promotes the complete recovery of housing in inadequate housing in precarious settlements located in regularized areas or areas subject to regularization, except for places of risk and environmental protection.
The work developed by CDHU consists of three stages: on-site inspection to assess the housing and its needs, collection of the resident’s signature on the adhesion term and execution of the improvement works. For the city of Osasco, the Program allocated R$ 10 million.
