Capcom reports profit in report; updated figures for SF6, Dragon’s Dogma 2 and more

Capcom released its financial report for the period ending December 31, 2023.

In it, the company says it achieved record net sales and seven consecutive years of record profits. Furthermore, it achieved 11 consecutive years of operating profit growth.

Net sales increased by 21%, while operating income increased by 12.3%. This was thanks to Street Fighter 6 It is Dragon’s Dogma 2.

Regarding games, 45.89 million units were sold in total last year. It is one of the biggest sales in Capcom’s history.

Some updated numbers (the complete list should be released in the next few days):

  • Dragon’s Dogma 2 – 2.62 million
  • Street Fighter 6 – 3.3 million
  • Resident Evil 4 – 7.02 million
  • Monster Hunter: World – 25.32 million
  • Devil May Cry 5 – 8.16 million

As for the series in general, we have the following:

  1. Resident Evil – 157 million
  2. Monster Hunter – 100 million
  3. Street Fighter – 54 million
  4. Mega Man – 41 million
  5. Devil May Cry – 31 million
  6. Dead Rising – 16 million
  7. Dragon’s Dogma – 11 million

Capcom expects even higher sales numbers for the current fiscal year ending March 31, 2025. It’s possible that Monster Hunter: Wilds and/or Resident Evil 9 be released by that date to achieve this goal.
